On August 27 and 28, 2026, Yohei Okuda participated as a panelist at the international conference, “Balancing Creditor Rights and Debtor Protection in Modern Civil Enforcement Systems,” hosted by the Legal Execution Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Thailand.

In addition to the Minister of Justice of Thailand, the conference was attended by numerous officials from the Legal Execution Department, as well as academics and judges from various jurisdictions. Representatives of international organizations, including the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) and the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ), also took part in the event.

Yohei Okuda represented Japan in a session entitled “Defining the Appropriate Boundaries between Enforcement Powers, Assets Exemption, the Scope of Law, and Public or Private Enforcement Systems across Jurisdictions.” During the session, he contributed to discussions concerning the prevention of the circumvention of civil enforcement in an international context.
