本年8月27日から28日にかけて、タイ王国法務省法執行局が主催した国際会議（Balancing Creditor Rights and Debtor Protection in Modern Civil Enforcement Systems）において、奥田洋平弁護士がパネリストを務めました。

国際会議には、タイ王国の法務大臣に加え、法執行局に所属する多数の担当官が出席し、また、各国の研究者や裁判官のほか、ハーグ国際私法会議（Hague Conference on Private International Law）やInternational Union of Judicial Officersといった国際機関も参加しました。奥田洋平弁護士は、「Defining the Appropriate Boundaries between Enforcement Powers, Assets Exemption, the Scope of Law, and Public or Private Enforcement Systems across Jurisdictions」をテーマとするセッションにおいて、日本を代表して、国際的な民事執行の回避に関して議論しました。
